Cable cars and lifts

On Kreischberg there are 13 lifts and cable cars with a total capacity of 17,400 people per hour, providing unlimited skiing fun.

The new “Kreischberg 10er”

The Kreischberg ski resort successfully completed the largest investment in its history in 2021: the 6-seater gondola lift built in 1992 was replaced by an ultra-modern, efficient 10-seater cable car.
The costs of the entire investment (station building and cable car) amounted to approx. 40 million euros.

Bergstation Kreischberg 10er

The Kreischberg 10-seater gondola lift from Doppelmayr doubled the transport capacity from the valley station to the ski area from just under 2,000 people per hour to 4,000 people per hour.
This is not only a quantum leap in quality and comfort in the ski area, but also a major boost for the entire Murau tourist region.

On 25 November 2021, the official acceptance by the government took place as expected. The experts and the authorities were highly appreciative of the exemplary and timely execution of the project. The representative of the cable car authority, Jörg Schröttner, described the completion of the “Kreischberg 10er” project as exemplary for the entire cable car industry.

Many thanks to the employees of the Lachtal and Kreischberg cable car companies, as well as all the construction companies for their great commitment and reliability!
